I would rest Rice and definitely wouldn't play Arthur at left back.

Can see moysie maybe switching to a back 3 with Fredericks and masuaku as wing backs . Can see oko flex getting minutes as well.

Not sure how fit Kral is going to be. Surely Noble and Lanzini will start. Fredericks should play too.

We should be realistically aiming to win this cup, beat City and it's our best chance of a trophy this season. it's about time we won it and another trophy and it's kick started a few clubs to go on and achieve more.
Therefore we will need Rice & Antonio to get past City.

Don't think Birmingham & Swansea were doing anything special when they won it, I could be wrong but I was thinking more of Man City, Chelsea and even the Fergie era.

I reckon Europa League is as winnable as this, and for me should be more of a focus as it's a route to Champs league.
Along with aiming for 4th spot in the league. Which is achievable in my view, particularly if Utd stick with Ole.
Weds is a good chance for fringe players and some U23s

Man City will be strong.
Expect Sterling, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Stones and Fernandinho to start.
Might be a long 90 minutes.

Genuinely I think he'll rest as many as he can for this and hope against hope of getting a result. It's our 4th game in 10 days with another important one to come at the weekend. Even though we can send out a pretty decent second string (below) these days, City can send out an extremely strong one, with a stacked bench.

It's tempting as if we played a full strength side we could be in the QF of a cup competition. A home draw next round to a Stoke, QPR or Sunderland and it's game on. But we'd probably get Chelsea or Liverpool away knowing our luck.
Lets save it for Europa and the PL.
